American Flag Place Cards & Centerpiece Pick

Place Cards

Step 1:

Cut out your die pieces for the flag. I did two flags here.

Poke out the tiny stars with a paper piercer.

Step 2:

I used my Wendy Vecchi magnetic Stay-tion to hold my flag in place and help me keep my lines straight as I glued together my flag.
I adhered the blue field of stars first and then the short stripes.
Then the three longer stripes.

Step 3:
Cut a piece of the navy cardstock about 3 3/4” x 4 1/4” and score right down the center and fold in half.

Step 4:
Adhere the flag to the fold place card with thin foam squares.

Step 5:
For the names on your place cards you can use a tiny to small alphabet or stickers.
I have a pretty small alphabet die and so I used that. I cut the letters from Navy cardstock.
I lined up the letters and then used removable tape to keep them lined up and put some liquid glue on the back.
Then adhered them to the flag.

Repeat the process for as many name place cards you need for your holiday table.

Step 6:
I added some little silver stars I had in my stash.

You could also use the stamps instead of the dies and do the same thing. To show the stamp set I made a pick I could add to a centerpiece.

Step 1:

Emboss the “America the Beautiful” stamp on navy cardstock and emboss with white embossing powder.
Cut out with coordinating die.

Step 2:
Stamp flag with Distress Oxide ink in Barn Door and Faded Jeans.

Step 3:
Adhere stamped flag to navy cardstock and the America the Beautiful piece to the flag.

Adhere to a dowel or stick.

I added some tiny dots of Nuvo Glitter drops in White blizzard to the stars but it’s hard to see in the picture.
