KOALAfied to Party by Amanda

Posted by Amanda Fletcher on

Step 1. Using the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card die, cut two panels out of brown cardstock. On one panel, using the large rectangle window cut out, make the opening to the front of the box. Fold along score lines and attach the two panels on one end only using Scor-Tape 1/4”.

Step 2. To make the sky, cut light blue cardstock into three rectangles: 1 measuring 3 1/4 X 2 3/4 and 2 measuring 2 1/8 X 2 3/4. Align rectangles with the corresponding panels and glue into place.

Step 3. To make the clouds use the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Boarder dies. I chose the medium fluffy cloud die and cut that out of white cardstock and trimmed it down to fit in the background. Add some Wink of Stella Brush Tip Marker in Glitter Clear to the clouds to make them shine. Align with the back panel and glue into place.

Step 4. Using the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card included dies, cut the hills out of green cardstock, and the largest tree trunk out of brown cardstock. For the hills, fold along score lines and add Scor-Tape to the sides. Attach one side of the hills to the side of the shadow box.

Step 5. Stamp the following onto white cardstock using black ink that is Copic marker friendly:

-From the Lawn Fawn I Love You(calyptus) stamp set, stamp a koala and 4 branches.

-Lawn Fawn Party Koala stamp set, stamp a koala and two party hats.

-Lawn Fawn Year Two stamp, one gift.

Step 6. Using Copic markers color the images.

Koalas - N1 N5 C1 R32

Branches - E35 E33 G21 YG11

Party Hats - BG13 & Wink of Stella Brush tip marker in glitter silver

Gift -BG13 BG49 & Wink of Stella Brush tip marker in glitter silver for the bow

Step 7. Die cut all of the images using the associated die cut sets except for the gift. The gift will need to be hand cut so it will fit in the koala’s arms.

Step 8. Cut a sentiment banner out of white cardstock and stamp the “Koalafied to Party” sentiment from Lawn Fawn Party Koala.

Step 9. Using a craft knife, carefully make a small cut in between the sideview koala’s arms and legs. Place the tree trunk cut out in between the koala arms and legs. Glue the koala into place. Glue 3 of the branches onto the tree trunk.

Step 10. While that dries, use the craft knife to cut around the forward facing koala’s hands. Slip the gift in between and glue into place. Glue the party hats onto the koalas.

Step 11. To assemble the shadow box have the hills lined up and Scor-Taped sides ready to stick. Fold the panel over that doesn’t have the hills attached to it and press down.

Step 12. Glue the tree trunk to the back hill and the koala with gift and last branch to the front hill. Attach sentiment banner to the front of the shadow box.
