Lawn Fawn Sunset Boutique Card

Posted by Amanda Willett-Snider on

Hello friends! I've always found that my best scene ideas come to me when I'm thinking about things I love. For this card, I was inspired by cute little boutiques, cobblestone sidewalks, and beautiful sunsets.

I started by stamping the images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I colored the stamped images using alcohol markers.

To start creating the background, I die cut two Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables. On one of the rectangles, I cut out a hill and some grass from Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders, and Meadow Borders.

Next, I inked all of the background pieces. For the sky, I used Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry. I used the rock stamp from Fairy Friends to create a cobblestone street pattern. I inked the street using Distress Ink Antique Linen before coloring the stones with alcohol markers. The grass border was inked using Distress Oxide Pine Needles.

Then, I used a tape runner to adhere the stone street to the sunset background. I glued the images to the cobblestone street and added the foreground images to the grass border. I covered the back of the grass and overhanging images with foam tape to be added to the scene. I popped a few extra images from the middle layer on foam tape to give it more dimension. (The bread crumbs are snow from Yeti or Not)

Finally, I matted the scene twice using Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and red cardstock. Everything was attached to an A2 card blank. For some final touches, I made some highlights using my white gel pen.
