MFT Shark Infested Slimline Birthday Card

Posted by Kay Norman on

Step 1:

Die cut the baby shark twice from dark gray cardstock, black for the eyes, light gray for the mouth, white for the teeth and pencil eraser for the inside of the mouth.
And the largest ornate panel from aqua cardstock.

Step 2:
Assemble the sharks. Use the black jelly roll pen to add some shine and dimension to the eyes.

Step3:
With your ocean stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink make a set of waves and ink the rest of the panel.

Step 4:
Ink blend some Faded Jeans Oxide ink from the bottom to make it darker and let it blend out as you go up.

Step 5: Splatter water onto your inked panel and soak up any drops with a dry cloth or paper towel.

Step 6: Stamp your sentiment onto aqua card panel when it’s dry.
Adhere the sharks with foam squares.
Step 7:
Cut out a black layer to back your ornate banner. Mine was 3 7/8” x 8 7/8”.
And a slim line white card base that’s 9”x 4” when folded.

Step 8:
Adhere together and add a little dot in the center of the eyes with white Nuvo drops.
(I squirt some out on a piece of scrap cardstock and used my stylus to add the tiny dots. I feel like I have more control that way.)
Step 9:
After I was all done I thought it needed some bubbles, so I took my embossing pen and put some bubbles coming up from each shark and then sprinkled real carefully some Broken China Distress glaze and it.
