Simple and Fun Eggstra Amazing Easter Card

Posted by Mahala Kiss on

Hello everyone!

I cannot believe it’s already time to start thinking about Easter. Today I thought it would be super fun to share a simple Easter card with you featuring Lawn Fawn’s Eggstra Amazing Easter stamp set. This set is such a fun set for Easter. It includes super cute bunnies, an Easter basket, eggs, and a chocolate bunny too! What else could you need?

To start creating this card I stamped out images from the stamp set with my stamp press and altenew black ink. I stamped out two bunnies, a basket, the eggs to go in the basket, three single eggs, the chocolate bunny, two chickadees, the large bow, and two small bows.

Next, I coloured these images in with copic markers. If you’re interested in the colours I used, I have them listed below. I like to use the technique of adding my light colours first and building up the darker colours where I think the shadows would be.

The next step is to use the coordinating Lawn Fawn Eggstra Amazing Easter and cut out the images we coloured. Then I took out the outside in stitched rectangles Fawn and cut out the largest rectangle twice. These 2 rectangles should measure 5 ¼” x 4”.

I then took out my tumbled glass distress ink and my cloudy stencil to create clouds on one of the rectangles. When that was finished, I took out my bundled sage distress oxide and blended it onto the bottom half of the second rectangle. With the rectangle that has bundled sage distress oxide ink, I cut the bottom of the rectangle out with Lawn Fawn’s meadow border dies.

Now we have our background created for our card! It is time to assemble. I adhered everything with tonic glue and stamped my sentiment out with versafine ink.
