Spellbinders Pool With A View Card by Amanda

Posted by Amanda Wilcox on

I recently joined the world of alcohol inks and have had so much fun playing with them. I made a bunch of backgrounds with an idea in mind and I'm so happy it turned out that I wanted to share it.

To create this card I created 3 panels on yupo paper with the following combinations of alcohol pearl inks - tranquil and celestial, envy and smolder, and enchanted and deception. Then I pulled out my Spellbinders Pool with a View die set and cut out the pieces from the alcohol inked panels. The umbrella, ladder and life preserver also had pieces cut from white cardstock, while the base of the pool was cut from a dark gray cardstock.

I used liquid glue to assemble all of the pieces together and put acrylic blocks on top while they all dried. While those were drying I cut a 4x5.25 panel from yellow patterned paper. Using my die cut images as a guide, I pulled a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine stamps and stamped it in black ink.

Then the panel was popped up with foam squares and I started adhering the die cut images. All of those were adhered with liquid glue except the umbrella which was popped up with foam squares.

I think the alcohol ink gives such a fun and different texture to this simple card design. And the shimmer in the light is amazing because I used alcohol pearls too.

I hope you enjoyed this card and found some inspiration to create something wonderful. Have a fabulous day!
