Thanks Thanks Thanks Slimline Shaker Card

Posted by Carrie Rhoades on

The new Thanks Thanks Thanks stamp set from Lawn Fawn is one that you might over look with all the cute critters and holiday products in this latest release. But it is one of those stamp sets that will be a staple in your stash. As you can use it time and time again to turn any card into a thank you card. I challenged myself to use only this stamp set to show you how amazing this set is on its own.

The first way I used this stamp set was to stamp over my ink blended background with clear pigment ink and emboss the scripty thanks with clear powder.

The ink blended panel was created using Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron. I then die cut this panel using the largest rectangle from the Large Slimline with Sliders Die Set and the largest rectangle from the Slimline Lift the Flap Die set. Together these two dies created the frame for this card.

I was able to use the inside piece from die cutting the frame as the background for my shaker card.

The second way I used this stamp set was to stamp the image “THX” to make little shaker elements. I used three colors of Lawn Fawn ink to do this, stamping on scraps of card stock that I thought coordinated well with the colors in my background. The inks I used are Plastic Flamingo, Mermaid and Freshly Cut Grass. I then used my scissors to cut these into tiny pieces, perfect for shaker bits!

The last way I used the set is to stamp three pieces to create the focal image or sentiment for this card.

I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossing powder for a shiny image. The largest thanks, as well as the other two large thanks in this set, have a die to cut it out. I love the close outline this gives the word die cut.

I added these to the front of the card as well as a die cut heart, from the Slimline Lift The Flap die set.

The tiny hearts are shaker elements that I had on hand in my stash, and are what inspired the color combination for this card.

You can watch the making of this card right here.
