Hello everyone! Ricky here on the blog today.
I decided to make a spectacular background using some Tim Holtz alcohol inks. These inks are so magical. It is fun because no two backgrounds come out alike. Please also be sure to watch my video on how I made this card as well over on the ScrapbookPal YouTube channel!
Here are the steps I took to make this card:
1.Cut a piece of Tim Holtz brushed silver paper to 4 x 5.25.
2.Choose your favorite colors of Tim Holtz alcohol inks. I decided to go with reds and yellows.
3.Squirt the ink onto the paper and then move it along with some 91% alcohol or Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Blender. Play until your heart is full!
4.Then as the ink is drying, I took a piece of red Deco Foil (you can use any color), placed it over the project and rubbed down really hard with my bone folder. Afterwards, life the foil and you will see that it has applied itself to the sticky parts of the alcohol ink. You can get better results if you run through a laminating machine.
5.Make a black border by cutting a piece of black card stock a bit bigger than your card panel and glue those together with some Art Glitter Glue.
6.Then glue that onto the card base.
7.Stamp out the flowers from the Lawn Fawn Our Friendship Grows stamp set.
8.No coloring this because the beauty is the background.
9.Stamp sentiment inside card. I used “Our friendship grows brighter every day.”
I hope you have enjoyed this card and are staying safe. Please share your creations on our social media! I would love to see them.
