Welcome Little One by Nicole

Posted by Nicole Voegeli on

Step 1: I went through my stash of Lawn Fawn stamp sets and picked the tiniest stamps to create my wreath. First, I drew a circle using a pencil as a guide (I did erase it later on). Starting with the largest flower and the lightest red color, I layered the stamps and colors to create a dimensional look. This was so much fun and didn't take that long.

Step 2: I love how the colors go together. The Lawn Fawn dye inks were just perfect for that project. A little tip on the go... Make sure you have a smooth paper, when you use solid stamps with dye inks. I tried out other kinds of paper but I had the best results using smooth cardstock. In this case it's one by Bristol (240g).

Step 3: To finish up my card, I stamped the little fox and his mom using a black sticky ink and clear embossing powder. This helps to stay inside the lines while coloring with watercolors. I used a small brush (no. 2 I guess) to color my image. Then, I cut it out and adhered it on my panel using some foam tape.
