Yip-PEA! Birthday Card by Su-Queen

Posted by Su-Queen on

Step 1: Cut out the mini card base using the Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window Die with Spiffy Speckles patterned paper (12x12 size). For the front, I used the Center Picture Window add-on to cut another rectangle panel with patterned paper. Then I die-cut a circle and added an acetate circle pouch (as an alternative can also create a shaker using just acetate and foam squares). I added a green and yellow sequin mix before adhering it to the Spiffy Speckles yellow patterned paper.

Step 2: I stamped the images from the LF Be Hap-pea set with the Lawn Fawn Jet Black Premium Ink. I then die-cut them and colored with shades of green Copic Markers. I then assembled and adhered them to the front as shown.

Step 3: For the inside, I die cut two vertical, rectangle panels from the LF Center Picture Window Add-on. I also die cut the center panel with scored flaps from the Center Picture Window Die. I used Distress Oxides in Lemonade and Scattered Straw for all pieces to give a yellow color wash. I adhered the vertical panels on the left and right side. To adhere, the center panel, cut off the scored flaps so it will be the perfect size to add the background piece to the middle.

Step 4: I die cut the center panel with the scored flaps from the Center Picture Window Die and the wavy inside panels in Spiffy Speckles green patterned paper. For the center panel, run it once with the whole die, and again with the oval center. Adhere the wavy inside panels first on one side, then close down the card so it aligns with the other side. Then adhere the center panel using the same method.

Step 5: I stamped the peas and peapods from the Be Hap-pea stamp set with LF Jet Black Premium ink and colored them with shades of green Copic markers before die-cutting them. I also stamped the Birthday cake from the Birthday Before 'n' Afters stamp set. For two pea pods and the birthday cake, I used the center scoring die from the Center Picture Window Set to make a score down the middle. Adhere the stamped pieces as shown. Add two strips of acetate to two peas and adhere them to the wavy inside panels to create dimension.
