You Charge Me Up Interactive Card by Beata

Posted by Beata June on

Instructions:

Step 1: I cut a piece of white card (4" x 5 1/4") for my card panel, and used Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender brushes to blend distress oxides (Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet for the top 2/3 of the card panel and Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire for the bottom 1/3) onto the card panel.

Step 2: I splattered some water and blue acrylic paint onto my card panel and white A2 card base.

Step 3: I used my Misti Stamping Tool and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad to stamp the mouse, typewriter & paper with peeking mouse, lamp and desk from the Lawn Fawn You're Just My Type stamp set on a piece of white cardstock, and colored them with various copic markers.

Step 4: I stamped the robot and bowtie from the Lawn Fawn You Charge Me Up stamp set onto some white cardstock using my Misti Stamping Tool and a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink pad, and colored them with copics.

Step 5: I used a masking technique (using scrap paper and tape) to stamp the "You Charge Me Up" sentiment from the Lawn Fawn You Charge Me Up Stamp set onto the typewriter paper image I colored.

Step 6: I stamped the hearts from the Lawn Fawn Winter Village stamp set and colored them with copics.

Step 7: I cut out the pieces for my pull tab, and cut out a sliding hole and notch for the pull tab on my card panel, using the Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts Let's Toast Pull Tab add on.

Step 8: I cut out the arrow for my pull tab using the Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts Let's Toast Pull Tab Add On, and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink over the arrow using a Picket Fence Studios life changing blender brush. Then I glued the arrow to the top of my pull tab.

Step 9: I cut out my colored images. Then I glued the peeking mouse on the typewriter paper onto my pull tab mechanism. Next, I adhered the rest of my colored images onto my card panel using a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube and foam tape.

Step 10: I adhered my card panel onto my card base using foam tape, being careful not to put any tape over the area where my pull tab will move up and down.

Step 10: I stamped the electric charge halo from the Lawn Fawn You Charge Me Up stamp set, colored it with copics, cut it out and glued it behind the top of my robot's head to show him being "charged up!"

Step 11: To finish up my card, I added white highlights to my colored images using a white Sakura gelly roll pen.

This interactive card was so fun to make, and I love the message from the little mouse on the typewriter that goes so perfectly with my charged robot. These stamps and die, and other supplies, are available over at the scrapbookpal.com shop!
