Step 1: I started by cutting a bookmark out of Canson XL Smooth Bristol paper. I used a Mama Elephant bookmark die BUT Avery Elle has a great bookmarkone too.

Step 2: I then stamped a few images onto the bookmark using Lawn Fawn's Beam Me Up & Out of This World Stamp Sets.

Step 3: I masked off the images using Gina K. Designs Masking Magic Sheets

Step 4: Now that the images were protected I used Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Black Soot - applying them with a Blender Brush.

Step 5: Next I peeled off the masks to reveal crisp images - ready for Copic coloring! I colored the images using various Copic markers.

Step 6: Then I added a fun sentiment also from the Lawn Fawn Beam Me Up stamp set.

Step 7: I finished the bookmark off by using a white gel pen to add a few highlights to the images!

These bookmarks are SO fun to make and I love giving them to my daughter's friends! They all really seem to love them. I've even prepared 30 of them for her to hand out as "Valentine's Cards" for Valentine's Day coming up! I hope you give this a try! You can use any and all images to create your own and the ScrapbookPal Shop is full of great options!!
