Happy Birthday Cacti by Linda

Posted by Linda Nelson on

Step 1: Score black cardstock at 4 1/4 and fold to create a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 card base. Cut patterned paper to 4 by 5 1/4 and adhere to card base. Set aside.

Step 2: Using a free form style, cut your rolling hiils from the two sheets of brown cardstock, and emboss if texture is desired.

Step 3: Using the distress inks and the piece of white cardstock, sponge your background. To make the stencil for the rising sun cut a 11/4 circle in a small scrap of cardstock and sponge heavily in the hole. To properly place sun and colors in background, you may find it helpful to temporarily

place your hills on the white card stock.

Step 4: When you are happy with your background, adhere your hills and cut your oval piece. Cut a slightly larger oval piece out of the remaining black card

cardstock and adhere the two ovals together.

Step 5: Stamp cacti with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and color images with copic markers. Cut out using matching dies.

Step 6: Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamp sentiment. Adhere cacti to scene with foam dimensionals. Adhere oval to card front.
