Lawn Fawn "Veggie Happy" and "Build-A-Garden Greenhouse"

Posted by Marla Harris on

Hi friends, Marla here, with another card share.  It's time to start planning and planting gardens and before you know it, summer produce will be in full bloom.  If you're looking for a great way to say hello to your favorite gardener, Lawn Fawn and ScrapbookPal have you covered with the Veggie Happy stamp and dies.  These adorable images pair beautifully with the Lawn Fawn "Build-A-Garden Greenhouse" die.  Let's get started on the card.

To begin, I inked my background using "Broken China Distress Ink, Peeled Paint Distress Ink, Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink and a touch of Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink."  Next, I spritz the inked panel with water and dried it with my heat tool.  Then, I added a few splatters of "Scorched Timber Distress Oxide Spray" and a touch of "Mermaid Lagoon" Distress Paint.  After trimming the panel down to 4" x 5.25", I used Lawn Fawn's "Quilted Heart Background" die to add texture. Next, I adhered a red piece of cardstock to an A2 top folding card base and adhered the inked panel onto the card base.

I stamped several of the images from the Lawn Fawn "Veggie Happy" stamp set  and Copic colored them using primary colors.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out my images.

Then, I die cut the greenhouse using Lawn Fawn's "Build-a-Greenhouse" die.  Keeping with the primary colors I used on my stamped images, I colored the greenhouse a vibrant red.  I used yellow, blue, brown and green Copic markers for the plants and flowers.

Before adhering my images to the background, I used "Versafine Onyx Black" ink to stamp my sentiment.  To complete the card, I used a white gel pen to add highlights to my stamped and die cut images.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Until next time..... Marla
