Sizzix/Tim Holtz Vault Bunny & Chic

Posted by Kathy Schweinfurth on

Everything old is new again!  Just like it is with Spring when everything is fresh and new, the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Vault Bunny & Chick Thinlits dies brings back two adorable dies with fun additions that are perfect for so many occasions such as Easter, Spring, Baby, Birthday and more!

Here's how I created my card...

1)  Using Spellbinders Diamond Plaid Embossing Folder, I embossed a piece of light blue cardstock and adhered it to the cardbase.

2)   Then, using Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Seasonal Frame die set,  I cut the 'wood' frame from kraft cardstock and popped it up with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Strips.

3)  With the same Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Seasonal Frame die set, I cut and assembled the layered flowers, leaves and branches from the different colored cardstock shown and popped them up around the the 'wood' frame.

4)  The main part of the bunny, from the Bunny & Chic Vault Thinlits die set, was cut from 2 different pinks and white; his eyes/nose/glasses were cut from black cardstock.  I assembled the pieces together and popped him up at the bottom, over a part of the frame.  What's so nice about these layering dies is that there are scored lines on the pieces which show you where each layering piece needs to be - love that!

5)  I then cut three different yellows for the main body of the chick.  The beak and legs were cut from orange cardstock and the bow from blue cardstock.

6)  The layered eggs were cut from different blues and pinks.  You could, of course, cut these from white/cream/light grey or bright colors too!

7) Lastly, I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment from Sizzix Daily Sentiments stamp set and popped it up on the bottom of the card.
