Slow Down by Grace

Posted by Grace Camou on

This is my Slow down card I made, using Lawn Fawn products. All the stand images are colored using alcohol markers from the cute sloth, popsicles, the banner and the canopy stripes in blue.

Step 1: The stand’s roof is made using the roof of the scalloped treat box spring house add-on die.I attached the top of it with glue to the pink base and the bottom part of the canopy where the scallop is, I attached with foam to add dimension.

Step 2: The front of the stand is an stitched panel from the “Scalloped box card pop-up” die, I colored it with Distress oxide ink in black soot color and did a light mist of sprayed water over it and wiped it with a dry paper towel to make it look as a chalkboard.

Step 3: After it dried up, I white embossed a sentiment from the “Slow down and enjoy” which I re-arranged in an horizontal way. I finished off the sign with an extra touch of white gel pen marks as well as some highlights in the images using the same pen.

Step 4: The stand banner and brown posts (cut out of brown cardstock) are from the scalloped box card pop-up die and I used a small rectangle I cut out of white cardstock behind the sloth. For the base of the card I used two different layers on top, the pink panel I colored with “spun sugar” distress inks and stamped the popsicles from “Best pun ever” with a darker pink ink. The white panel I cut with the scalloped die and the base card was colored (only the edge) with an alcohol marker in the same soft blue tone as the canopy.
