Spellbinders Penguin Winter Wishes

Posted by Kay Norman on

Step 1 - Die cut a stitched rectangle from the Blue Blossom 6x6 paper pack. I used one about 4 1/2”x 3 1/4”. Also a white cardstock one as well. Cut a wavy strip for your icy base.

Step 2 - Lightly blend some Tumbled Glass Distress ink on the white strip you just cut. Adhere it to your cut rectangle.

Step 3 - Adhere that to piece of the pink paper from the same paper pack. Trim down so it has a nice pink border around the blue scene.

Step 4 - Die cut the penguin (Tux) out of black, white and orange cardstock. Cut out 3 icebergs from white. Cut out the ear muffs and scarf from the scraps leftover from above.

Step 5 - Ink the icebergs with some Tumbled glass ink and the muffs and scarf with Spun Sugar Distress ink. Assemble them together with Lawn Fawn’s glue tube. (Love this glue!)

Step 6 - Ink a scrap of white cardstock with the Tumbled Glass and cut out the top of the ear muffs from that. It will match the other blue from the icebergs. Adhere to the penguin.

Step 7 - Adhere the icebergs. I cut one iceberg and used it for the ends. One for the background and one for the foreground mounted with foam squares.

Step 8 - Adhere the penguin with foam squares and stamp Winter Wishes from the Lawn Fawn Winter Wavy Sayings stamp set one black ink.

Step 9 - Mount it to an A2 white card base and add white Nuvo drops to the eyes, scarf and muffs if desired. Add Blizzard to the icebergs. I chose to forgo the cheek die pieces and used some Spun Sugar ink on a tiny pom pom for the cheeks.
