Sweet Pineapple Card

Posted by Jenn Li on

Aloha, crafty friends! I don't know about you, but I could use a tropical vacation right about now. So here is a simple and sweet tropical card to get us dreaming about a vacay in paradise!

Step 1: I used a Concord and 9th turnabout stamp (On the Diagonal) to create a diagonal background using Lawn Fawn inks (plastic flamingojalapenosunflower, and peacock). Then, I cut out 3 rectangles from the diagonal background.

Step 2: I stamped, colored, and die cut 3 pineapples from Lawn Fawn's Aloha stamp set. I used Copics to color in the pineapples (pineapple: Y13, Y15, E13; leaves: YG13, YG17, YG67). After coloring, I stamped the cute faces and sunglasses onto the pineapples. For a touch of glitter, I added some Wink of Stella onto the sunglasses.

Step 3: For the sentiment, I stamped and die cut a conversation bubble from Lawn Fawn's A Birdie Told Me and stamped the "aloha" into the bubble.

Step 4: To make the card panel background, I embossed white cardstock with a polka dot embossing folder. Then I cut triangles from teal and yellow paper and glued the embossed panel and triangles onto my cardbase.

Step 5: Finally, I assembled the rest of the card by popping up the rectangle panels and images with foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by! Stay safe and happy crafting!
