You're Just My Type Pop-Up Card by Leica

Hello, crafty friends! Leica here and today I am sharing a Valentine's card and here are the materials needed:

1. Lawn Fawn - Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up

2. Lawn Fawn - Shadow Box Card Theater Add-On

3. Lawn Fawn - You're Just My Type and coordinating dies

4. Lawn Fawn - Love Poems and coordinating dies

5. Copic Markers - N0, N1, N3, RV00, RV10, RV11, BG15, BG10, BG00

6. Scrapbook patterned papers - clouds, wood grain, lace, dots, or any pattern of your choice

7. Other materials - die cut machine, glue, rhinestones

Let's get started:

Stamp, color, and die cut the images from the You're Just My Type and Love Poems stamp sets. Stamp the sentiments onto the blank papers. Put aside for now.

Next, build the scalloped box card pop-up as directed. I used wood grain pattern scrapbook paper to make the inserts for the box card. Find a beautiful pattern that you'd like to use for the curtains and run through a die-cut machine using the Theater Add-On die. Here I used a lace pattern. Also, you will need a sky or a background that will go behind the curtains. The measurement for that is 3.25 x 2.5 inches.

Then, you will need to cut a panel for the back of the box card, but it has to be taller so that the curtains can be glued higher. I used a 110 lb cardstock and the measurement is 6.25 x 3.25 inches. Line up this panel with the bottom of the box card and glue it onto the back. In the front of the card, glue the sky paper and put the curtains together.

It's time to create the adorable scene. The desk, typewriter, lamp, and the little mouse peeking behind a sheet of paper are glued onto the back insert. While the other mouse is glued onto the front insert.

To decorate the flaps of the box card, I used a typewriter stamp by My Favorite Things, but unfortunately it is no longer available. The bottom part of the box is decorated with dots paper in red. Next, arrange the four papers in the front flap of the card. And lastly, don't forget the cherry on top - rhinestones as drawer pulls.

Here are some substitutes for the scrapbook papers that I used:

1. For the wood floor, you can use brown paper and the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop

2. For the curtains, I think any of the papers from Spring Fling Paper Pack would look great

3. For the clouds, you can make your own pattern using any of these dies or stamps

4. Lastly, you can arrange these alphabets stamps in order and make your own alphabet background

I hope you enjoyed today's post! Have a wonderful day!

XOXOX,

Leica
