Spellbinders From the Garden Collection

Posted by Sarah wyles on

Hi everyone!! Sarah Wyles back here today to share a lovely floral card with you using the Spellbinders Vintage floral dies, Heartfelt Thanks & Scallops die set, along with quite a few distress oxide. I really enjoy adding dimension to my cards to I added a little to this card too!

I started out by cutting all the florals and leaves out. I sat with a movie on in the background while I did this. The cutting out didn't take love, but after I did that, I decided to add some shading to the flowers and stems.

This added more texture and dimension to them. Once I had added different shading to all the florals, I started to assemble the flowers. You don't have to, but I added 3d foam between some of the layers of the flowers and I love that I did! It turned out so great! Once I had everything assembled, I cut out the gold scalloped back piece, a pieces of black shimmer cardstock and stacked those on my card base.

Then it was time to place everything where I wanted them. This was so easy and having the 3d foam in between some of the flowers layers, made it really easy to tuck them into each other.

I adhered everything down and thought it was time to pick if I was going to use the thanks or the hello from one of these sets. I decided on the hello. I cut the shadow out in the gold I used for the scallop and the hello from a light pink I had used for some of the flowers. I adhered them together and tucked it under the larger teal flower and called this card done! I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you head over to the ScrapbookPal YouTube channel and see the whole process!
